| Indemnifies (usually
the lending institution, i.e. the bank) up to the extent of
the sum assured against the defects of Title of the land on
which security was established when granting of the loan.
Following is a check-list of documents required to process
your application:
- Completed Proposal Form (questionnaire provided by HNBA)
- Letter from the lending institution requesting a title
insurance
- A Valuation Report by a Certified Valuer
- Deed (the original or a certified copy)
- If Policy is required within a day, extracts pertaining
to the Land for 30-years must be submitted
- Original Survey Plan or a copy certified by the Municipal
Council
- Street line certificate
- Non-vesting Certificate
Upon submission of the above documents (certified copies
could be submitted where originals being held in the custody
of another institute) the single premium payable will be
notified. An additional amount will be charged as search-costs
if required extracts pertaining to the land are not submitted
by the Proposor.
