Heralding the Yuletide Season (1)-1

Heralding the true essence of the Christmas spirit of this festive season, HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) vouched to sponsor ‘A Recital by Dmitri Gunatilake – An Evening of Christmas Melodies’ organized by a young patron with a zest for singing and theatre in aid of the ‘Pibidena Kekulu’ project of the Cancer Care Association of Sri Lanka (CCASL). The Recital will be held on the 1st of December 2016, from 7.30 PM onwards at the Western Province Aesthetic Resort Auditorium, Colombo 07 (NADA).

The ‘Pibidena Kekulu’ project is an initiative of CCASL, a non-governmental, a nonprofitable voluntary organization which emphasizes on uplifting the livelihoods of cancer patients and supporting the children of cancer victims.

Following a full-house success of a Recital held last August, with proceeds donated to the Child Development Clinic of the Professorial Unit of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Dmitri Gunatilake has taken another generous step in organizing her second Recital with an aim of giving back to those who are in need. A Lawyer by profession, Dmitri has a passion for both singing and performing arts. She holds numerous qualifications including the LTCL Diploma in singing from Trinity College, London. Her love for performance and theatre has led her to initiate programs which benefit the community.

Sharing thoughts about this joyous event, Deepthi Lokuarachchi, Chief Executive Officer of HNBA and HNB General Insurance (HNBGI) stated “as a Company which is centered on providing protection, we are delighted to be associated with such an event which aims in giving back to the community. And we hope that events of this nature will inform the general public and other corporates the importance of giving back to the community in which we live and breathe in”. Inviting the general public to experience this event, Dmitri requested the earnest participation stating, ‘join me in welcoming the season of joy and giving, at an evening of Christmas carols, Hot chocolate and love, embracing the true spirit of Christmas, to be enjoyed by all young and old”.
